Making sensible decisions on where a surfer takes-off on their waves will contribute to the ultimate success they achieve. It is highly recommended that surfers should only take-off on the peak or behind the peak, and say “NO” to all other take-off decisions.
As good surfing is all about making good decisions and being confident when in the water, helping young surfers learn to think for themselves by asking question that encourage that process, is a big step forward in the development of any surfer moving forward.
When he came in again I said – “This time push forward to a chest over front knee body position”. When he paddled-out, Bam…..Bam….. Bam….., he finished all his waves perfectly.

In April & May, 2020 I presented 5x online presentations to surfers in Lima, Peru. Working with elite Peruvian surf coach - Sebastian Alarcon, the presentations were conducted in both English and Spanish.
